Best case study writing services for B2B SaaS in 2026

The best B2B SaaS case study services in 2026 are Uplift Content (established written specialist, strong SaaS logos, pricing on request), Best Case Studio ($2,500 - one interview becomes a complete proof set: video and written case study, video and written testimonial, and a social pack), SuccessKit ($1,750+ per case study, fully managed, sales-library layer), and Ace Case Studies (solo written craft, enterprise clients like Oracle). For video-led work, Testimonial Hero (which acquired Case Study Buddy in 2024) sells annual credit plans from around $6,510/yr. Cheapest of the lot: Column ($649/$799 written-only with PDF design) and StoryVoice (an AI voice-interview tool, under $5k/yr, no video). Full-service agencies like Grow & Convert and Ten Speed produce case studies inside broader content retainers at $5,000–$15,000+ effective cost per study.

I run Best Case Studio, so I’m in this list. I’ve flagged exactly where my biases sit. I’ve spent months researching every service here, and every price, turnaround, and capability comes from their own websites (or, where they hide the number behind a sales call, I’ll tell you that too). If something’s an estimate, I’ll say so. And if you want the direct head-to-head of us against any one of these, I’ve put those on the comparison pages.

One axis that’s missing from most comparison tables, including this one: whether the written case study is actually built to rank on Google and get cited by AI. Almost none of these are. Mine is, and I’ll come back to why that matters at the end.

How did I choose who to include?

Three rules. They must offer done-for-you B2B case studies (not templates, not just video, not academic essay mills). They must have verifiable clients or a portfolio. And pricing must be either published or reliably estimated. Where a service hides the number behind “book a call”, I’ll say so rather than invent one.

One thing worth flagging: if you google “case study writing service” without a qualifier, half the results are sites like Academized and PapersOwl selling essays to university students. Totally different buyer. Everything below is B2B-specific.

Who are the best case study services for B2B SaaS?

Uplift Content

Uplift Content is probably the most established name in B2B SaaS case study writing right now. Boutique team (not a solo operator, not a massive agency), focused on SaaS content: case studies alongside blog posts, ebooks, and white papers.

They don’t publish a price. You get a fixed quote after a discovery call, plus a scope-of-work document, and they lean towards ongoing relationships rather than one-off jobs (they’ve said they take a limited number of new ongoing clients a year). Background research, a recorded customer interview with customised questions, the written case study, and revisions are the core. Video and audio testimonials and case-study design are add-ons, not part of the base.

Their client list is the real thing. ClickUp, Okta, WalkMe, LeanData, ON24. Those aren’t logos you get handed for writing a blog post.

Where it gets interesting is the format gap. Uplift is written-led. Video is an add-on you scope separately, there’s no social pack as standard, and they focus on SaaS, so if you sell services you’re more the exception than the fit. They do offer answer-engine optimisation as a service for content generally, which is more than most, but it isn’t baked into the case study deliverable. If all you need is an excellent written case study from a proven SaaS writer, that’s exactly what they are.

Best fit: SaaS marketing teams that want a reliable, ongoing writing partner who knows the space.

Best Case Studio (that’s us)

This is my company. I’ll tell you what we do and where we’re limited. Skip to the next one if you’d rather not.

Best Case Studio is me and my partner Jessie. We only do B2B case studies. No blog posts, no whitepapers, no ad copy. Just proof.

Here’s the thing that makes us different, and it’s not a feature. Every other service on this list makes you pick a format. The writing shops give you words. The video shops give you video. You end up buying your proof in pieces from three different vendors, at three different prices, on three different timelines.

We refuse to make that trade. One conversation with your happiest customer becomes the whole set. We call it a Proof Kit, and for $2,500 you get:

  • Video case study: the full story, in your customer’s own words, on camera. The proof you physically cannot fake.
  • Written case study: the deep-dive version, built to rank on Google and get cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, so your proof shows up the second a buyer starts researching.
  • Video testimonial: a short, sharp cut for your homepage and socials.
  • Written testimonial: a pull-quote you can drop straight into your site, your deck, or a cold email.
  • Social pack: a branded LinkedIn carousel and short clips, all cut from the same conversation.
  • Launch checklist: so each piece ends up where it does the most damage, instead of dying in a folder.

All of it from one recorded interview. You make one warm intro to your customer. We handle the scheduling, the questions, the awkward bits, the editing, and the lot. You get everything back 14 days from the interview, ready to publish. The customer relationship never leaves your hands.

This all came from chatting with founders I know, and seeing a repeated pattern of having interested prospects, having a positive chat, then…nothing. They either hesitate, or disappear. And a lot of the time it ended up being because there wasn’t anything backing up the offer.

Our offer is designed to remedy that. Whether your prospects come to you from social media, your website, or direct.

Where we’re limited: we launched in 2026, so we don’t have the logo wall Uplift or Ace have. Small team means capacity is tight. We can’t do ten of these next month. And if you want someone to write your blog posts and ebooks too, we’re not that shop. Proof is the only thing we do. You can see what a finished Proof Kit looks like.

Best fit: B2B founders (SaaS or services) with at least one genuinely happy customer, who want the complete proof set from one conversation without signing a retainer.

SuccessKit

SuccessKit is a fully-managed case study service with a sales-enablement layer bolted on. They schedule, interview, write, design, and secure your customer’s approval, and reviewers consistently praise how little work it takes on your end. The output is a written case study with PDF and source files, a custom-branded template, and a content library with tagging plus a Salesforce integration, so your sales team can actually find and use the thing.

Pricing is refreshingly public: $1,750+ for a case study, $2,000+ for a 60–90 second video testimonial, $3,000+ for a white paper. All revisions included, you own the content, bulk discounts if you order several.

The catch is the same one that runs through this whole list. SuccessKit is written-led. The video is a short add-on, not a full video case study, and there’s no social pack. Buy a case study and a video testimonial to get two formats and you’re at $3,750 for two vendors’ worth of proof, still with no video case study. Turnaround is around six weeks. It’s built for sales and marketing teams who want a searchable library, not for a founder who wants one polished story done fast.

Best fit: sales and marketing teams that want a managed, low-effort case study machine that plugs into their CRM.

Ace Case Studies

Ace Case Studies is run by Jody Williams, a UK-based solo specialist who writes what she calls “non-boring” B2B case studies. I like the positioning. And the playing-card-themed tiers (The Jack, The Queen, The King) are a nice touch, even if they don’t tell you much about what you actually get.

Pricing isn’t public (quote-based) and neither is turnaround. What I can tell you is the client list: Oracle, Gorgias, Learnship, Smartlook, Galaxkey. That Oracle logo is hard-earned for a solo operator. One testimonial mentions “SEO-driven” writing, so there’s some awareness of search. But it’s written-only. No video, no testimonials as a set, no social pack.

If your goal is a beautifully written case study for sales enablement, Ace delivers. If your goal is proof in every format your buyer checks, you’d be assembling that yourself.

Testimonial Hero (+ what happened to Case Study Buddy)

This entry is really two stories.

Case Study Buddy was the name in written B2B case studies. Joel Klettke built it, and for a while it was the first service most SaaS marketers thought of. Then in March 2024, Testimonial Hero acquired them. Joel left. The casestudybuddy.com domain now redirects to testimonialhero.com.

If you came here searching for Case Study Buddy, that’s what happened. The standalone written service doesn’t exist anymore.

(To learn more about that sale, you can listen to my chat with him here from the SaaSy as Fuck podcast)

Testimonial Hero is a video testimonial company, and a genuinely good one. Written case studies live inside their offering now, but they’re the sidecar, not the engine. The pricing model is worth understanding: it’s credit-based annual tiers, starting around $6,510/yr and climbing to $28,800 and beyond, working out to roughly $3,000+ per video. Turnaround is a few weeks. Their exact numbers sit behind a sales call, so treat the figures as directional.

The production quality on their videos is the best in this list, no argument. If you’re a funded marketing team that needs broadcast-grade video and can commit to an annual plan, they’re the obvious call.

But that’s the whole point of difference. It’s an annual credit commitment aimed at marketing departments, not a fixed one-off for a founder. And because the written case study is a secondary output of a video-first process, the narrative gets shaped by what plays on camera rather than what ranks on a search results page. I don’t try to out-video them. I win by giving a founder the complete set (video and written and social) from one interview, once, for one fixed price, with no annual credits.

Best fit: funded B2B teams that want the best video testimonials money can buy and can commit annually.

StoryVoice

StoryVoice is the newest shape of competitor: an AI tool. You send your customer a link, they talk to a voice AI for about five minutes, and it spits out a publish-ready written draft with quotes and metrics. You then edit and publish it yourself. Under $5k/year, a free tier for event testimonials, drafts in one to three days.

For volume, it’s clever. If you want ten studies a year on a small budget and your customers are too busy for a scheduled interview, I can see the appeal.

But read the room. It’s AI-generated, written-only, and you do the editing, so it isn’t done-for-you. And it walks straight into the exact problem proof is meant to solve. Your buyer in 2026 fact-checks everything and trusts AI output least of all. A machine-spun draft of a customer story is the thing a sceptical VP smells from a mile off. The whole job of a case study is to be the one asset that survives scrutiny. An AI draft invites it.

Best fit: DIY teams chasing volume who’ll happily edit the output themselves.

Compose.ly

Compose.ly is a managed content marketplace: blogs, articles, ebooks, and case studies through a vetted writer network. Case studies are on the à la carte menu but pricing isn’t published, so you’ll need a quote. Turnaround is listed at 5–7 days, fast for done-for-you.

The appeal is convenience. If you already use them for blogs, adding case studies through the same vendor saves you finding someone new. But you’re getting a marketplace writer, not a named specialist who does case studies all day. The writer on your case study might be writing product descriptions for someone else that week. No video, no social, no structured data, no implementation guidance.

Column

Column is the budget option. $649 (basic, 2–3 weeks) or $799 (deluxe, 1 week). Both include a customer interview, the written case study, PDF design, social posts, social graphics, and one round of copy editing.

That’s a lot of deliverables for $649. No other service here bundles PDF design and social at that price.

The trade-off is specificity. Column isn’t SaaS-specialised. They work across industries. The “search engine optimised” claim means basic SEO, not AI-citation engineering. No notable SaaS logos, and no video. At that price you’re getting a functional written case study, not a strategic one. It’ll work for sales enablement. It won’t rank for a competitive query or get quoted by an AI.

Best fit: early-stage companies on a tight budget that need a written case study and will handle distribution themselves.

Other names you’ll see

If you ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to recommend case study services, a few other names come up. Quick version:

Concurate is a B2B SaaS content specialist (they also published the “Top 7” listicle that ranks for this query). They do written case studies in tiers (Story Foundation, Essentials, Showcase), reportedly $1,500–$2,500, written-only. Notis Press is a smaller written case study service (SaaS, fintech, logistics, with a 2–3 week turnaround and custom quotes). Rob Beadle is a UK-based B2B tech copywriter with strong technical chops (ex-Accenture, IT and cybersecurity). Make Honey and Goodman Lantern are B2B content agencies that include case studies as a line item. ClearVoice is another marketplace, similar to Compose.ly.

None are bad options. They’re just not dedicated, multi-format proof services, so I couldn’t evaluate them on the same criteria.

What about full-service content agencies?

Agencies like Grow & Convert (from $10k/month), Omniscient Digital ($10k/month), Ten Speed, Animalz, and Siege Media all produce case studies as one deliverable inside a broader content retainer.

Break down a $10k/month retainer and the effective cost per case study lands between $5,000 and $15,000, depending on what else is eating the budget. I wrote a full pricing breakdown here if you want the maths.

The one I’d pay most attention to is Ten Speed. They actually productise case studies as a specific offering alongside their SEO work, and they market AI-search visibility explicitly. Most other agencies treat case studies as a bolt-on. Ten Speed seems to take them seriously.

But the thing about agencies and case studies (and I wrote about this in the pricing guide too) is that the person who writes yours is almost never the strategist you met on the sales call. It’s a contractor. Sometimes literally a freelancer billed out at three times their rate. So you’re paying agency money for freelancer output with an account manager in between.

(I’ve been that freelancer btw, cluelessly guessing how to write a case study before I’d learned how)

If you’re already running a content programme and want case studies folded in, fine. But if all you want is three solid case studies? You’re paying for Slack channels and kickoff decks that add nothing to the words on the page. And it’s still written-only.

What about freelancers and DIY?

Covered in detail in the pricing guide, so I’ll keep it short.

Freelancers charge $100–$1,500. Quality varies massively. No video, no SEO, no structured data, no social, no CMS guidance. You’re betting on the individual.

DIY costs $0–$500 and almost never ships. The case study goes on the to-do list, Q2 gets busy, the willing customer goes on holiday, and six months later it still hasn’t happened. I hear this from nearly every company that reaches out to us.

Every one of these makes you trade something

Here’s the pattern once you’ve read the whole list.

The premium video shops want thousands a year and a month of your time. The writing specialists give you words on a page. No video, no social. The AI tools spit out a draft in a day that your buyer can smell was written by a machine. The freelancers are a coin-flip. And the big content agencies treat your case study as line seven on a rate card.

Every single one makes you give something up. Format, speed, price, authenticity, or focus. Pick your poison.

And if you try to not trade — to get every format, from real customers, done properly — you end up assembling it à la carte. Video from a video shop (~$3,000+). The written study from a writer ($1,750+). A video testimonial as a separate line ($2,000+). Then the testimonial pull-quote and the social. Add it up and you’re at $7,000–$10,000+, across three or four vendors, on three or four timelines.

That’s the trade I built Best Case Studio to refuse. One real conversation becomes your complete proof set (every format, everywhere your buyers look) for one fixed price of $2,500, in 14 days. That’s the whole pitch.

Get the most out of your case studies

Whichever option you ultimately go for, the whole exercise of case studies and social proof is to build trust. That’s why it’s so important to not let your case studies gather dust on your website.

You should be sending them out, posting versions of them on LinkedIn, referencing them from your home page and content.

Which is also why video is so useful. A case study video is essentially a well you can keep drawing content from. You can pull out several videos for social media, a testimonial video for the homepage, and have the full video on YouTube helping with SEO.

I’ve even seen some companies record a case study like a podcast, and release the whole thing on Spotify and other platforms. I’m not sure quite how effective that would be, but I like the thinking.

So don’t see them as one and done. Treat them as evergreen content you can use all over the place.

Because the more your ICP sees this content, the more they’ll trust you. And the more they trust you, the easier the sale.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best case study writing service for B2B SaaS?
The best case study service for B2B SaaS depends on how much of the job you want done. Uplift Content is the most established written specialist with strong SaaS logos like ClickUp and Okta (pricing on request). Best Case Studio ($2,500) turns one customer interview into a complete proof set (video case study, written case study, video and written testimonial, and a social pack) with the written piece built to rank on Google and get cited by AI. SuccessKit is a fully-managed written service ($1,750+ per case study). For a budget written-only option, Column starts at $649.
How much does a B2B case study writing service cost?
B2B case study services range from about $649 (Column, budget written-only) to $10,000–$15,000+ (a case study folded into an agency retainer). Written specialists charge roughly $1,500–$3,000. Premium video shops like Testimonial Hero sell annual credit plans from around $6,510/yr (roughly $3,000+ per video). The price reflects how much of the process you're outsourcing and how many formats you get back. A $649 service writes and designs one PDF, while a $2,500 studio runs the interview and turns it into a complete proof set: video and written case study, both testimonials, and a social pack.
Do case study services optimise for AI search and Google?
Most don't. Almost every service on this list produces a written case study with basic on-page SEO at best, and no structured data or AI-citation engineering. A handful (Uplift offers answer-engine optimisation as a separate service; Best Case Studio builds it into every written case study) structure the page so tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews can find and quote it. If you want your proof to show up when a buyer researches through AI, ask the provider directly. The default answer is no.
What happened to Case Study Buddy?
Case Study Buddy was acquired by Testimonial Hero in March 2024. Founder Joel Klettke departed after the acquisition. The casestudybuddy.com domain now redirects to testimonialhero.com, and written case studies are offered inside Testimonial Hero's video-first programme rather than as a standalone written service. If you came here looking for the old written specialist, it no longer exists in its original form.
Should I hire a specialist or a full-service agency for case studies?
A specialist is usually the better choice if you want one to five case studies without signing a monthly retainer. Specialists like Uplift Content, Best Case Studio, SuccessKit, and Ace Case Studies do case studies all day. The interview framework, story structure, and production are tested and repeatable. A full-service agency makes sense if you already run a content programme and want case studies folded into it, but expect to pay $5,000–$15,000+ per case study (effective cost within a retainer) and wait 4–8 weeks.
