Here’s the shape of it. SuccessKit sells B2B case studies and testimonials one asset at a time, fully managed, with a sales-enablement library bolted on. A written case study is $1,750+, a video testimonial is $2,000+, and it’s genuinely low-effort on your end. Best Case Studio turns one recorded interview into a complete proof set (video and written case study, video and written testimonial, and a social pack) for a fixed $2,500 in 14 days. It comes down to completeness per interview: SuccessKit prices the pieces one at a time, the Proof Kit gives you the whole set from a single conversation.
I run Best Case Studio, so you should know exactly where my bias sits before you trust a word of this. I’ll tell you what SuccessKit does better than us, and I’ll tell you where I think we win. Every SuccessKit fact below comes from their own live site, which publishes real prices (more companies should). Where I’m estimating anything, I’ll flag it.

What SuccessKit is genuinely good at
Let me get the honest part out of the way, because it’s substantial.
SuccessKit is properly done-for-you. They schedule the call, run the interview, write the study, design it, and chase your customer for approval. The G2 reviews aren’t vague either. People keep saying the same thing: it took almost no effort on their end. That’s a real deliverable in itself. Anyone who’s tried to get a case study over the line internally knows the killer isn’t the writing, it’s the fifteen small tasks nobody has time to own. SuccessKit owns them.
Design is included, not an upsell. You get a custom-branded template, the PDF, and the source files, with revisions included. That’s a clean deal.
Then there’s the sales-enablement layer, which is the bit that actually sets them apart. A content library with tagging that plugs into your sales stack, so your sales team can find the right case study for the right deal instead of digging through a shared drive from 2023. If you’re a marketing team producing case studies that a sales team then has to use, that’s a real problem solved. Most case study shops hand you a PDF and wave goodbye. SuccessKit thinks about what happens after.
And the pricing is public. $1,750+ for a case study, $2,000+ for a short video testimonial, $3,000+ for a white paper. Bulk discounts if you order several. After months of researching this market and hitting “book a call to discuss pricing” on half the sites I visited, I have a lot of time for a company that just tells you the number.
So this isn’t a hit piece. If you’re a sales or marketing team that wants a low-effort case study machine feeding a searchable library, SuccessKit is a strong, sensible choice.
Where the Proof Kit wins: everything from one conversation
Here’s the difference, and it’s not about who writes a better sentence.
SuccessKit’s $1,750 written case study is cheaper than my $2,500 Proof Kit. I’m not going to pretend otherwise. If all you want is words on a page, they’ll do it well and do it for less. I’d be taking the piss to claim a price win on writing, so I won’t.
The win is completeness per interview.
Your happy customer gives you one good hour. That hour is the hard-won bit: the intro, the scheduling, the goodwill you’re spending to ask them to show up. The question is how many formats of proof you get out of that single hour. SuccessKit turns it into one asset, the written study. Want video too? That’s a separate $2,000+ product. Want it cut for social? Another line. Each format is another purchase, and some of them mean another interview or another scheduling dance with a customer who’s already done you a favour.
The Proof Kit takes that same hour and gives you back the lot. One recorded conversation becomes:
- A full video case study, the whole story on camera, the one format a doubtful buyer can’t dismiss as marketing
- A written case study, engineered to show up in Google and inside AI answers when a buyer researches you
- A short video testimonial for your homepage and socials
- A written pull-quote for your deck, your site, a cold email
- A social pack (branded LinkedIn carousel, short clips, a stat card)
- A launch checklist so each piece ends up where it does damage instead of dying in a folder
Same customer, same hour, one price. You make one warm intro and step back. We book it, run the interview, and cut everything from the footage. Fourteen days later it’s all back with you, ready to publish. You keep the customer relationship the whole way through.
Do the maths on matching that at SuccessKit and it gets stark. To get two formats you’d buy the case study ($1,750) and the video testimonial ($2,000), which is $3,750. For your $3,750 you’d have a written study and a short talking-head clip. Still no full video case study. Still no social pack. The Proof Kit gives you more formats, from one interview, for $2,500. That’s the whole argument.
You can see what a finished Proof Kit actually looks like before you take my word for any of it.
”We manage everything and plug into your sales workflow”
That’s the fair rebuttal from the SuccessKit side, and it’s a good one. So let me answer it straight.
On the managing-everything part, we’re level. The Proof Kit is fully done-for-you on the production side. You’re not editing anything, writing anything, or chasing anyone. The only thing that stays with you is the customer relationship, and that’s on purpose, because the intro and the credit should be yours, not your vendor’s. Where we differ is speed and shape: 14 days versus several weeks, one fixed price versus a per-asset menu, and a full video case study in the box rather than a short clip you buy separately.
On the sales-workflow part, I’m going to concede it cleanly. We don’t have a content library. We don’t push assets into your sales tools. We don’t do tagging or a CRM layer. If that’s what you need, SuccessKit has something I simply don’t offer, and I’m not going to bodge together a worse version to look complete.
But be honest with yourself about whether you need it. A CRM-connected case study library is a marketing-team-and-sales-team problem. It matters when you’ve got reps pulling different studies for different deals every week. A solo founder with one brilliant customer story doesn’t have that problem. You have a different one: you need proof, in every format a buyer checks, without it eating your Q3. That’s the founder I built the Proof Kit for.
Who should pick which
I’ll be direct, including when the answer isn’t me.
Pick SuccessKit if you’re a sales or marketing team that wants a managed, low-effort way to keep producing written case studies, and you want them organised in a searchable, CRM-connected library your reps will actually use. Pick them too if you genuinely only want one written case study and want to spend as little as possible on it, because their $1,750 written study is a good product at a fair price. That’s a real recommendation, not a polite one.
Pick the Proof Kit if you’re a B2B founder, SaaS or services, with at least one genuinely happy customer, and you want the complete set of proof (video, written, testimonials, social) out of a single conversation, fast, with no retainer and no per-asset menu. Pick us if you’d rather spend $2,500 once and get six formats than spend $3,750 across two SuccessKit purchases and still be missing video and social.
The honest dividing line is this. SuccessKit is built around the asset and the library. Best Case Studio is built around the interview and how much you can wring out of it. Different centres of gravity, different buyers.
If you want to see how the whole market prices this, from $649 budget writers up to premium video shops, I broke it down in the pricing guide.
Look at a real one first
Go look at a real one. Here’s a finished Proof Kit end to end so you can judge the actual output, not my description of it. That’s the fastest way to know if this is what you want, and it’s the thing I’d want to see if I were the sceptical one (which, buying anything, I always am).
Then if it’s a fit, see the pricing and book a call. One package, $2,500, everything from one conversation, 14 days from the interview. If it turns out SuccessKit is the better shape for your team, I’d genuinely rather you go there happy than come to me for the wrong reason. But if you want the complete set from one hour of your customer’s time, that’s the whole reason Best Case Studio exists.
